Central Barangaroo

Central Barangaroo is positioned to become the area’s cultural and civic heart. Linking the natural features of Barangaroo Reserve with the busyness of Barangaroo South it will be a place of recreation, lifestyle and culture, integrated with the Sydney Metro Barangaroo Station.

Half the 5.2ha precinct will be open space for recreation, events and entertainment. Within the mixed-use zone, Central Barangaroo will include community and cultural spaces, as well as residential, retail and commercial spaces.

The Sydney Metro Barangaroo Station will welcome people from across Greater Sydney, providing a new gateway to Central Barangaroo and the surrounding heritage areas of Millers Point and Walsh Bay.

The NSW Government is working in partnership with Aqualand and Scentre Group to finalise the plans for Central Barangaroo.

Barangaroo Reserve

Barangaroo Reserve recreates a headland that existed before European arrival in Sydney – a place used by First Nations people for thousands of years. This re-imagining required a process of restoration, creation and construction.

Barangaroo South

Barangaroo is place-making in progress, an evolution of exceptional infrastructure, design and architecture, public spaces, and experiences.
